Our History
In 1988, the Late Mr Chua Keng Khng established K K Chua & Co to provide assurance services in Singapore.
Since our humble beginnings, we have grown and expanded our service offerings to become a one-stop service solutions platform to our clients. We are affiliated with three specialist firms providing accounting, taxation, corporate and business advisory solutions to ensure that your needs are serviced by professionals in the particular field.

Notwithstanding our local origins, we have, through our quality service, won the trust and support of our Japanese clients. This can be seen from the fact that the vast majority of our clients are Japanese companies, with more than a quarter of whom consists of headquarters of international corporations and subsidiaries or branches of listed companies on Japan's stock exchange. We, therefore, have a wealth of experience to service the Japanese business community.

Our Team
CHUA KENG HIANG
Managing Partner

Mr. Chua started his career as an audit assistant with Coopers and Lybrand (now known as Pricewaterhhouse Coopers) in 1979 after graduation. He was promoted to audit manager in 1984 and left three years later to join the investment banking industry. While he was with Coopers & Lybrand, Mr. Chua was in charge of the audit of many major clients of the firm, including one of the largest banking groups in Singapore, the UOB Group.
In 1987, Mr. Chua joined the UOB Group to specialize in initial public offering, mergers & acquisitions and financial advisory services. He was the vice-president in charge of corporate finance and venture management operations when he left the UOB Group in 1994.
From 1994 to 1998, Mr Chua spent four years in the People’s Republic of China where he was engaged by a Singapore listed company to manage a diversified group of companies in China.
Mr Chua joined our firm as a partner in 1999.
Mr Chua is currently the lead independent director of a Singapore listed company.
TAN WEE HOON JOANNE

Ms. Tan began her auditing career with our firm in 1997.
Ms. Tan quickly rose to become a manager and a key member of the management team. Her professional experience encompasses a wide range of industries and she has audited companies not only within Singapore, but also overseas in countries like Japan, the Netherlands, the United States and even Russia. Ms. Tan also has considerable experience in other service areas such as taxation, corporate secretarial services and insolvency.
In 2016, Ms. Tan was recognized for her efforts and became a partner of the firm having helped to shape much of its structure and core values.
TOSHIHITO KAWARA

Mr. Kawara started his career as a bank executive with Mitsui Bank, Japan in 1970.
In 1974, Mr. Kawara joined Chuo Audit Corporation, Osaka, Japan and obtained his public accountancy qualification in 1980. He was seconded by Chuo Audit Corporation to Coopers and Lybrand (now known as Pricewaterhouse Coopers), Singapore from 1989 to 1993 and from 1996 to 2002 as a Director.
Mr. Kawara joined our firm in 2002 as Director - Japanese Business Group. He retired from the firm in 2017 and became our Senior Advisor. With his vast professional experience in Singapore and Japan, Mr Kawara advises our firm and clients on technical matters.
CHUA CHENGYUAN
Director
Chartered Accountant of Singapore
Bachelor of Accountancy, Singapore Management University
Chengyuan joined K K Chua in 2022 as an audit director. His main responsibilities include overseeing audits, providing technical advice to clients and business development.
Prior to joining us, Chengyuan was an audit senior manager at Ernst and Young LLP. He previously managed the audits of financial institutions, ranging from global banks to local fin-tech clients.
TSUBOYA KEIICHIRO
Head of Japanese Business Group
Member of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants
Mr Tsuboya began his audit career as an associate at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC in Tokyo. In 2012, he became a Japanese Certified Public Accountant and was promoted to Audit Manager in 2018. As Audit Manager, Mr Tsuboya was engaged in providing external and internal audit services to Japan listed entities in manufacturing, logistics, food & beverages and software development.
With his extensive experience, Mr Tsuboya was also involved in providing advisory services to entities undergoing IPOs and on J-SOX compliance.
Mr Tsuboya joined our firm in 2020 as Head of Japanese Business Group. His responsibilities include client servicing, technical advisory and practice development.
